🌿 Who are you?
I am Amaia, creator of the breastfeeding clothes brand amaë. I'm a 33 year old mom with a passion for sustainable fashion and motherhood!
🌿 Introduce us to your family!
In my family we are 3: Simon, my partner who is also my biggest supporter. We both have a wonderful son, Maël, 3 years old, without whom the beautiful amaë adventure would not exist.

Amaë has a "slowfashion" approach: a more responsible and environmentally friendly fashion. Our creations are made to last and to be worn during breastfeeding but also afterwards.
Amaë also fights against misinformation about breastfeeding and promotes the possibility to breastfeed after returning to work.

🌿 How did you know Pioupiou?
I knew Pioupiou thanks to amaë. Claire, the founder, was breastfeeding her little one and was one of the first customers when I created the brand. We exchanged a lot of messages on Instagram and then by phone. Claire helped me a lot thanks to her experience as a mom and her precious feedback on the creations. A very nice meeting. We became friends and I had the chance to know Pioupiou as soon as it was launched. I immediately bought the balm and I am totally conquered.
🌿 Describe your daily skincare routine with your little one.
When it comes to skincare, I try to use as few products as possible and I pay close attention to the composition. As my son has atopic skin, I use a washing oil for the bath. Then, I apply a moisturizing cream on the body and the Pioupiou shea balm for the driest areas.
🌿 How would you describe motherhood? How have you been "changed" by it?
Motherhood is carrying a little being and bringing it into the world. It is an immense discovery that is accompanied by moments of joy but also of doubts. It is to surprise oneself and to discover an unsuspected strength within oneself.
I think that motherhood has pushed me to be more tolerant. I have a lot of compassion for all the moms who do an incredible job every day and who try to balance everything: family life, friends, work,... I also admire all the moms who don't work to take care of their children and I now understand how much work they do.
🌿 What's your favorite part of being a mom?
My small happiness is when I find my son in the evening after a long day of work. His smile makes me forget everything!
